Instagram Ads · Cold Traffic Framework

Run Ads That Convert Cold Parents

How to structure an IG ad that stops the scroll, filters the right audience, and turns strangers into students — based on Teacher Feon's proven holiday workshop promo.

📱

Sample IG Ad + Audience Profile

📍 Target Audience Profile

🎯
Method
People you choose through targeting
👥
Gender & Age
Men and women, ages 30–60
📍
Location
Singapore
🔍
Interests
Chinese language, Motherhood (children and parenting), or Primary education (primary and secondary education)
💡 This audience self-selects. The right parents lean in. The wrong ones scroll past. Both are correct outcomes.
🧱

The 9-Element IG Ad Framework

Element 01

Season Hook (Banner)

Anchor urgency to a specific holiday window — creates a natural deadline without manufactured pressure.

"June Holiday Crash Course"
Element 02

Course Name (Bilingual)

Chinese + English signals exactly who this is for. Chinese-speaking SG parents self-identify immediately.

Element 03

Format + Level

Online/In-person + grade level filters the right audience immediately. State clearly what will be taught.

"P5 & P6 · Online via Zoom"
Element 04

Dates + Time

Specific days and hours remove ambiguity and create commitment clarity. Cold traffic has no patience for vague schedules.

"3, 5, 7 June · 10am–12.30pm"
Element 05

Video with Overlay Text

Teacher on camera + text callout mid-video. The emotional hook lands while they're still scrolling.

Teacher speaking + "AND HELP THEM" overlay
Element 06

Contact CTA

WhatsApp number + teacher name. Personal, low-friction. One tap to reach you — no forms, no email.

Element 07

Hard CTA

One clear instruction. Not "find out more." Not "learn more." Direct close — no ambiguity.

"SIGN UP NOW!"
Element 08

Goal Statement

One sentence: what students will gain. Outcome-focused reassurance for parents who need a reason to trust.

"Your child will learn techniques + build confidence for PSLE"
Element 09

Pain Point Caption

Opens the loop for parents who self-identify. "Struggling with [topic]..." makes the right parent stop and read.

"Is your child struggling with Chinese composition?"

The Core Formula

Holiday urgency Who it's for When Emotional hook Easy contact Outcome promise Pain point echo

Cold Traffic Offer Framework

Cold traffic doesn't know you, trust you, or follow you. This framework earns attention and action from complete strangers — using precision, not popularity.
1

Name the Enemy With Surgical Precision

Not a general problem — the specific wrong thing they are doing right now. Named so precisely that the parent thinks: "How did she know that?"

That precision IS the credibility. No followers needed. No track record needed. Just name it more specifically than anyone else has.
Precision = Trust
2

Name the Exact Consequence

Not "may struggle." The specific moment it breaks down.

"They freeze at the paper. They copy whole paragraphs. They run out of time."

Make it visual. Make it inevitable.

3

Position Your Method as the Opposite

Not "I teach Chinese." The contrast does the selling.

"I teach the technique that replaces the one they have been using since kindergarten."

State clearly what will be taught in the workshop — the specific course content.

4

Surgical Student Profile

Name the exact child. Grade. Specific struggle. Specific situation.

"P6 students who need a breakthrough before PSLE."

Cold parents self-select immediately. Wrong parents opt out. Right parents lean in.

Filter, don't broadcast
5

Airtight Logistics

Every question answered before they ask it.

  • Dates and times
  • Format (online / in-person)
  • Price signal
  • What they get (notes, replay)
  • How to sign up
Cold traffic has no patience for follow-up questions. Every unanswered question is a lost sale.
6

One Action Only

One number. One instruction. DM or WhatsApp — not both.

The moment you give two options, you halve your conversions. Make the next step so obvious there is no decision to make.
One CTA = more clicks
