Webinar Follow-Up — Convert Warm Leads Into Students

The webinar got their attention. This 7-step sequence turns that attention into a paid enrolment — without pressure, without chasing.

💡
A warm lead reads your link. A cold lead ignores it. Connection always comes before the link. Every step below is designed to warm the parent before you ever ask for money.
Step 1 · Same Day
Thank them — sell nothing
Send this within hours of the webinar ending. No pitch, no link. Just a warm, human close.
"Hi [Name]! Thanks for joining today 😊 Hope you found it useful!"
Step 2 · Next Day
Ask about their child
One question. Open-ended. Let them tell you exactly why they need you.
"Quick check — what level is your child in, and what are they struggling with most?"
Step 3 · Once They Reply
Introduce the workshop as the natural fit
Don't jump to the pitch. Frame the workshop as the answer to what they just told you.
"That's exactly what my [month] workshop covers. Want me to send you the details?"
Step 4 · After They Say Yes
Send the landing page link
Only now — after they've asked for it — do you share the link. A parent who asked for the details is 3× more likely to click than one who received an unsolicited blast.
→ Warm lead reads it. Cold lead ignores it.
Step 5 · First 5 Days Only
Mention early bird — once, naturally
Don't spam the early bird. Mention it once when you send the link. Real scarcity (limited spots) is more powerful than artificial countdown pressure.
"There's an early bird rate if you register by [date] — just so you know 😊"
Step 6 · After 2–3 Days of Silence
Send a gentle nudge
Most parents aren't saying no — they're just busy. One warm reminder with a real urgency cue is enough to reopen the conversation.
"Hey [Name], just a reminder — early bird closes [date]. Happy to answer any questions 😊"
Step 7 · Still Fence-Sitting
Offer a quick 5-minute call
Some parents need a conversation, not a link. A 5-minute call removes all friction — they hear your voice, feel your care, and most will sign up during or right after the call.
"Happy to do a quick 5-min call if it helps you decide — just let me know what works for you."

The Referral Method — Let Existing Parents Fill It For You

Your happiest parents are your best sales team — they just need a simple ask. This method deepens trust with the families you already have and turns them into a warm pipeline of new students.

🤝
The Fion Method in action Fion converted parents into regular students just because a mum sat in on a session and loved the materials. You don't need ads when your existing families do the talking.
Step 1 · End of Term or Session
Ask existing parents personally — not in a broadcast
Hand them a simple feedback form at the end of a term or session. The last question does all the work:
"Can you recommend one parent who might benefit? If someone comes to mind, write their name and number here. No pressure at all."
→ Personal ask converts. Mass blast gets ignored.
Step 2 · Within 48 Hours
Follow up on the referral — mention who sent them
Name-dropping the referrer instantly builds trust. The referred parent is already warm — they heard about you from someone they trust.
"Hi [Name]! [Referrer's name] thought your child might benefit from my [month] workshop. Would love to share more — what level is your child in?"
Step 3 · Before the Workshop
Host a small community event — each family brings ONE guest
Invite existing families to a casual get-together (online or in-person). Each one can bring one guest parent. Don't make it salesy — let them experience your community. Workshop sign-ups happen naturally after, no hard pitch needed.
Step 4 · Before You Promote
Lock in annual parents first — fill your baseline before running any ads
Tell existing families on your annual package that their child joins the holiday workshop free (or at a deep discount). This fills 3–5 spots before you spend a single dollar on promotion — and creates social proof when you open to new parents.
"If you're on the annual package, your child joins the holiday workshop free."
Step 5 · During the Workshop
Teach like parents are watching — because they are
When a parent sits in or observes (even briefly), your teaching becomes a live demonstration of your value. Use clear materials, speak to the child like a coach not a drill instructor, and let parents see the transformation happen in real time. This is your most powerful ad.
Step 6 · End of Workshop
Ask every happy parent for a Google review
Ask within 24 hours — while the experience is still fresh. Make it as frictionless as possible by sending the direct review link, not just asking in passing.
"If your child enjoyed this, would you mind leaving a quick Google review? It helps other parents find us 😊 [direct link]"
Step 7 · After the Workshop
Follow up with attendees who didn't convert to regular classes
A workshop student who had a great experience is your warmest possible lead for regular enrolment. One message is all it takes.
"Hi [Name], so glad [child's name] joined us! We have regular classes too — would you like to know more?"

Run Both Methods — That's Where the Magic Is

Neither method alone is the full picture. Webinar follow-up attracts new leads and converts fast. Referral deepens trust with existing families and lets them fill your workshop for you. Together, they're unstoppable.

Method 1

Webinar Follow-Up

Attract new leads and convert them into paying students with a 7-step personal message sequence. Best for: growing your audience fast and converting webinar attendees within the same week.

Method 2

Referral Method

Let your happiest existing parents fill your workshop for you — through feedback forms, community events, and annual package benefits. Best for: sustainable growth with zero ad spend.

🏆
Best results: run both together Start Method 1 the same day your webinar ends. Start Method 2 at the end of your next term or session. Both run in parallel — and together they keep your workshop full without relying on any single source.
Set your workshop launch date and decide which method to start first
Pick a launch date 3–6 weeks out. If you just ran a webinar, start Method 1 today. If you have existing students, add the referral question to your next feedback form. Write both dates down and commit to them.
📅 Workshop date: _________________
🚀 Method 1 start: Day of webinar / same day
🤝 Method 2 start: End of next term / session
